Awards
The 2008 Awards have been newly selected and designed in eleven categories deemed the most appropriate to reflect the pace of change in the industry towards enhancement of its global competitiveness and sustainability.
The 2008 Awards categories are:
- ABB Manufacturing Award
- CIA Company of the Year Sponsored by Headline Sponsor Haden Freeman
- Energy and Low Carbon Award sponsored by British Energy
- Innospec Innovation Award
- Leadership in the Chemical Industry Award
- Reputation Award Sponsored by Dow Chemical
- Resource Efficiency Award
- Responsible Care Award Sponsored by Ineos
- Skills Award sponsored by Cogent and NSAPI
- Supply Chain Excellence Award sponsored by Johnson Matthey
- Young Ambassador Award sponsored by BASF
There is no single 2008 Award for Sustainable Development. However entries in each category will be diligently assessed according to contribution and adherence to the CIA Guiding Principles for Sustainable Development.
All entries will be judged by a panel of experts, with short-listed candidates being subjected to a more extensive judging process, in some cases involving a site visit, interview or presentation.
