Leadership in the Chemical Industry Award

PURPOSE

This Award is to recognize the individual who has made the most outstanding contribution to the CIA and the UK chemical industry.

ELIGIBILITY

The Award is by selection: any employee of a CIA member company or one associated with it, or from an industry stakeholder group will be considered. The winner will be announced at the Chemical Industry Awards Dinner on 25th June in Leeds. 

CRITERIA

Individuals may be nominated by colleagues of the individual or by CIA Directors. The nominated individual should be working for any member company of the CIA or one associated with it with it, or for a recognized industry stakeholder. He/she will have recognized an outstanding contribution by the nominee, probably over a sustainable period of activity but possibly in relation to a specific shorter-term project.

The potential nominee should have demonstrated the following characteristics:

  • Recognized excellence of the work as a contribution to the CIA and the UK chemical industry
  • Leadership and achievement orientation
  • Inclusive and teamwork approach
  • High level of knowledge and the willingness to share it
  • Recognized success and significance of the result(s)

JUDGING

The judging panel will consist of the Sponsor, CIA Directors, and an independent expert.

CLOSING DATE

Entries to be made in confidence to Mike Lancaster on the Entry Form which will be available in early December, signed by a member of the company leadership team, by Friday 21st March 2008.
